have seen many people using pendrives or USB drives, suffering from

What is autorun.inf ?
AUTORUN.INF Viruses
are virus that uses the Autorun feature of Windows to spread itself on
computers. This virus makes a copy of the autorun.inf file to the root
or main directory
of all the drives on your PC, internal and / or external disks, to make the virus runs every time the external disks like pendrives or USB drives were inserted or every time you double-click the drives through the Windows Explorer.
How to remove or block autorun.inf virus ?
For
this purpose, you can download a software called “USB Disk Security”.
This will automatically detecc virus whenever you insert pendrive and

Preventing AUTORUN.INF virus manually
The
following are just generic instructions and some of the steps might not
be applicable to some virus infections that uses autorun.inf.
The
method is to create an AUTORUN.INF folder on the root directories (main
directory usually represented by backslash symbol \ ) . You can do this
via Windows Explorer or Command Prompt but I will recommend the method
via Command Prompt.
To run command prompt, click Start then Run or press the key combination: Winkey + R Type CMD then press enter. This will open the black and white environment. On the prompt, type MD C:\AUTORUN.INF then press enter key. Repeat this procedure to other hard drives and USB drives. Just replace the C letter from the command with the appropriate drive letter of each storage device.

How to recover MOST of scratched CD data discs
I,today,
learn an old technique to how to recover a damaged or scratched cd
disks with very minute loss of data. In this case i have a game with a
chunck of 4 mb lost with a scratch in CD1 Install. Here we cover some
special techniques of how to create a full working CD from the scratched
one.
First some tools will be needed:
1. Alcohol 120%
2. UltraISO 3. Windows XP/2000 (not tested on 95/98/me) 3. Small piece of cotton 4. Dry cleaner paper 5. Finally, oil for cooking.
First step – preparing the CD
Get the cotton and drop some water, start cleaning vertically the surface of CD.
Do
it 3 times and dry the water with a piece of dry cleaner paper. With a
new piece of cotton, drop some oil for cooking and start to wet the
surface like you are washing the CD with the oil. Dry carefully now.
Some particles of oil will stay on the microsurface of the scrath. It’s
okay.
Seems the oil helps the laser of the CD/DVD driver to read
the surface again. Sure this will work with small unreadable scratchs –
some hard scratchs loose parts of the surface of the CD where we have
data and it’s lost forever.
But if it is loosed try anyway. Whith this tip 80% of the small scratched CD’s coud be recovered.
Second Step – testing the CD
With
Alcohol 120% make an ISO – image making wizard – and lets see if the
app can read the loosed surface. In my case Alcohol 120% had recovered
60% of the data.
This is not enough. Have tryed other appz, they
do not recover all the data. But the CD/DVD driver laser CAN recover all
data in this case. the data is still there, what we do?
Third step – making the new CD
With
the main copy system of windows explorer you can do it. Just create one
folder with the same name of the CD label for future burn reference,
and copy the CD content to the folder.
When the CD copy process
find the scratch, in majority of the cases, it’s slow down the reading
and will recover ALL loosed data.If not, it just tell you there’s an
unreadable sector.
In this case your CD is lost. But it’s not my
case, finally windows explorer got all the data from the scratch and
made a copy in the folder with the ultraISO, wrote the original CD
label, drop the content of the folder and save as Iso. You can Test the
new CD just mounting the iso in the Alcohol 120%.
In my case i did
ISO of the two discs from MAX PAYNE 2 and tested installing from the
mounted ISO. Works like a charm. I got the 4 mb lost again. So, I have
burned the CD and now i have a working copy from the scratched one.
Sounds
too bizzarre, but works. Course you can jump the cleaning process and
try to copy the content with Windows explorer. But in my case did not
work without oil.
Try it and have fun.
* Note: This is not a
new trick. It is a very old trick. I,today, just came to know about
this that’s why i wrote it so that you may come to know about this too.

Remember, If the torrent has no seeds, This will not work!Boost and increase internet speed By Default, XP reserves 20% of your bandwidth for it’s own use. This is a crying shame and should be undone immediately. To do this, you will not require any additional software, just follow the steps below. Access the Group Policy Editor. This can be done by typing gpedit.msc in the Run box (Start, and then Run). You will now be looking at something like this. Navigate to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Network/QOS Packet Scheduler using the pane on the left side. In the left pane, there should be a Setting with the name Limit reservable bandwidth, right-click this and select properties. Now this might seem a bit weird, as the State will say “Not Configured” but Windows by default will reserve 20%. So the trick is to set it to reserve 0%. You can do this by clicking enabled and then setting the Bandwidth Limit % to 0. Hit OK then close the Group Policy Editor. That’s it! You’re done with the first tweak. Just a quick side note here, there are lots of other little things you can change easily using the policy editor. Feel free to wander around! Tweak 2: Optimizing TCP/IP settings This next tweak is going to require a piece of freeware called SG TCP Optimizer. This nifty little utility will optimize the manner in which your PC sends and receives data packets, which will as a result speed up your connection. Though It is most effective for broadband connections, it works for just about any type of connection. Download SG TCP Optimizer. You don’t need to install it, just double-click and it will run. That is quite an intimidating interface, but we won’t be touching most of it. Under the General Settings tab, just drag the slider to match your connection’s download speed. Then, at the bottom of the same window, select the “Optimal Settings” radio button and click “Apply Changes”. You will now be looking at a window. Make sure that the “Backup” tick box is ticked and then click OK. All that’s left is to reboot your system, in order to apply the changes. You will be prompted to do so. Once your system has rebooted, surf around for a while. If for whatever reason you feel your connection has been affected negatively, then fear not, for the changes you made can be undone. Start SG TCP Optimizer, click File and choose restore backed up settings. This will bring up a dialog box where you can navigate to where you downloaded the program. There, you will find a file with the extension .spg with a filename containing the date. For example If you applied the changes on the 21st of February “sg_backup_2008-02-21-xxxx.spg” would be the filename, where the xxxx is any number. Once you find this file select it and press open. This should bring to a dialog box similar to the one shown above. Click OK and reboot. Your original settings are now restored. How to make your system work faster– Increase Virtual Ram

There’s an easy way to disable Microsoft error report in windows.
